Use this FAQ to understand how RÉVE works for hosts, guests, free events and paid events.
The basics
RÉVE creates event pages that can be shared as links. Hosts use the page to collect RSVPs, explain the event and manage guest context.
Payments and guests
Guests RSVP and pay from the link with no app. For paid events in India, money goes directly to the host's UPI and the host keeps 100% of every ticket — settled instantly and hourly, 24×7 — with no RÉVE platform fee, and RÉVE covers the payment-gateway charge.

Is RÉVE free?
Yes. Hosts can create event pages and collect RSVPs for free.
Do guests need the app?
No. Guests can RSVP from a browser link without downloading an app.
Can I collect payments?
Yes. For paid events, guests pay via UPI and hosts keep 100% of every ticket — money settles directly to the host's UPI, with no RÉVE platform fee.
Can I use RÉVE outside India?
Yes. RÉVE is India-first but the event page and RSVP flow can be useful globally.
Is RÉVE affiliated with Partiful, Luma, Linktree or Eventbrite?
No. RÉVE is independent and not affiliated with those companies.
Can guests follow a host on RÉVE?
Yes. Every host has a public profile at reve.rsvp/username showing their events, follower count and star rating. Guests can follow a host to see their future events, and hosts can view and export their followers list.
How does the host rating work?
After an event ends, guests can rate it. Those ratings roll up into a public star rating shown on the host's profile and event pages. RÉVE collects feedback automatically with polite WhatsApp reminders, so a host builds social proof without chasing anyone.
What happens when a limited event sells out?
Guests can join a waitlist, and the host admits them one by one as spots open — each admitted guest gets a WhatsApp and can book right away. While someone is checking out, their seat is briefly reserved so the event never oversells.
Can I host a private or invite-only event?
Yes. Private events are unlisted — kept out of search and discovery and reachable only by direct link. You can also build an invite list and send each person a personal WhatsApp invitation.
Can I plan an event before the date is fixed?
Yes. A RÉVE event can start as 'just planning' with no fixed date. Poll your guests on the date or venue, then lock the winning option — guests are notified on WhatsApp when it's set.
Is there a comment wall on the event page?
Yes. Every event page has a public comment wall where guests can chat, ask questions and share excitement before and after the event.
Do guests get a ticket and invoice?
Yes. Paid and free bookings both generate a QR pass (emailed and on WhatsApp) and a downloadable invoice. Hosts can set their own seller details for the invoices.
Can I ask guests custom questions when they RSVP?
Yes. Add your own questions to any event — free or paid — as short-answer, long-answer or dropdown fields, and mark any as required. Guests answer while they RSVP, and you can view every response and export it to CSV. To respect guest privacy, RÉVE keeps this to text answers and does not support government-ID or document photo uploads.
Can guests reply Going, Maybe or Can't — and bring a +1?
Yes. Guests choose Going, Maybe or Can't, and if you allow it they can add a +1 count. Only Going counts toward a limited event's capacity; on a paid event, guests can still respond Maybe or Can't without paying, and choosing Going takes them to buy their ticket.
Can I collect RSVPs without charging for a ticket?
Yes. Turn on RSVP collection for a free event and guests respond — with your custom questions — at no cost. Many hosts use this to gather interest and details, then handle the rest over WhatsApp. Every RSVP also drops onto the event's comment wall as social proof and pings you so you never miss a response.
